Gateway Church

The King’s University has partnered with Gateway Church in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Gateway is a multicampus, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church founded by Robert Morris. Since its beginning on Easter Sunday in 2000, Gateway has grown consistently and now includes six campuses across Dallas/Fort Worth and one church plant in Scottsdale, Arizona. With more than 39,000 active members, Gateway provides a rich environment for students of TKU’s main campus to receive hands-on ministry training in numerous areas including pastoral ministry, worship and creative arts, children’s ministry, youth ministry, equipping and discipleship, freedom ministry, adult ministry, and global ministry.

The late Dr. Jack Hayford, founder and chancellor emeritus of The King’s University, and Pastor Robert Morris, lead senior pastor of Gateway Church, had cultivated a unique partnership, in that Dr. Hayford served as an apostolic elder of Gateway Church, and Pastor Robert currently serves as chancellor of The King’s University. Both Dr. Hayford and Pastor Robert shared a vision to train men and women for the work God has called them to accomplish. This shared vision led to the creation of a TKU branch campus at Gateway and, ultimately, the transition of main campus operations from Van Nuys, California, to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas in January 2014.
