The King’s University at Southlake provides a unique learning environment that integrates higher education with valuable practical ministry experience within Gateway Church. This complete educational experience prepares and equips students to serve in the local church, the marketplace and throughout the world.

Dr. Jack Hayford, Founder and Chancellor of The King’s University, and Pastor Robert Morris, founding Senior Pastor of Gateway Church, have cultivated a unique partnership, in that Dr. Hayford serves as an apostolic elder of Gateway Church, and Pastor Robert currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The King’s University. Dr. Hayford and Pastor Robert share the value of excellence and professionalism in their vision to train men and women for the work of the Kingdom wherever God gives them influence. This shared vision led to the creation of a TKU campus at Gateway Church.

With 680 students university-wide, and more than 200 students on the Southlake campus in its inaugural year, The King’s University offers both a dynamic learning environment with intimate classroom settings, and an exciting Christ-centered community, enabling its students to learn, to develop skills and talents, and to grow in relationship with fellow students, faculty and with the Lord. The main campus of The King’s University is partnered with Gateway Church in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Gateway Church is in the top 25 fastest growing churches in the country. The multi-campus, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church in Dallas/Fort Worth led by Robert Morris, Founding Senior Pastor, began in 2000 and now has five campuses. The church has since grown to more than 36,000 active members and therefore provides a rich environment for students of TKU’s main campus to receive hands on ministry training in numerous areas including: pastoral ministry, worship and creative arts, children’s ministry, youth ministry, equipping and discipleship, freedom ministry, adult ministry and global ministry.
