Kipepeo Asha (“Asha”) discovered her passion on a trip to Israel over a decade ago.
“I fell in love with the people and was encouraged by their love for God, their country and one another,” she explained. “But, I also experienced the many divisions between religious factions and felt God’s burden to have His Son shared with all the people of Israel.”
This passion drew Asha to the undergraduate program for Messianic Jewish Studies at The King’s University.
“I knew I wanted to become an agent of reconciliation between the Christian church and the Jewish community and share the heart of Jesus with all of God’s people,” she said. “God showed me I was to get a foundation in the classroom while sharing the gospel in my assigned mission field — the marketplace.”
The Oakland California native appreciates how the modular and online courses have allowed her to earn a degree while continuing her full time work schedule.
“TKU had a degree in Messianic Jewish studies and professors who have stood at the forefront of bringing the gospel to the Jewish community in the United States and abroad,” she said.
In 2013 Asha transferred from TKU’s Northern California campus to the main campus in Southlake, TX, so she could assist her aging mother and participate in Gateway Church’s Messianic service and global missions.
“TKU’s administrative staff made my transition seamless,” she said.
Asha recommends TKU because of the broad diversity within the student body.
“If you are looking for an environment where you can share in a cross-generational culture of honor with students from every walk of life and every ethnic group then consider TKU,” she exclaimed. “TKU campuses are bringing the leaders of this generation and the next together forever!”
