ORIENTATION RESOURCES

We are so excited that you have answered the call to join the TKU family. The next step in your journey is TKU’s onboarding experience called Odyssey. UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS:
The first step of the onboarding experience is orientation. During orientation, you will have the opportunity to interact with TKU staff, meet and connect with current students, become familiar with our different departments and systems, complete academic advising and register for your classes. All new and transfer, undergraduate students are asked to register for orientation. Options are available for both on ground and online students.

If you are a first-time student, please complete the  Self-Guided Orientation Introduction prior to your advising appointment/attending orientation. This will better prepare you for orientation and allow you the opportunity to form questions prior to our meeting.

Step 2

UNDERGRADUATE, GRADUATE, AND DOCTORAL STUDENTS:

The second step of our onboarding experience is our TKU Welcome Event. This is an extended orientation experience designed to prepare students for their transition to The King’s. It is an exciting experience for all new students that encourages you to engage in the TKU community. You will have the opportunity to interact with faculty, build friendships with future classmates, worship together, and learn all about life at TKU. The event will be streamed for all students who are not local to campus.

Step 3

UNDERGRADUATE, GRADUATE, AND DOCTORAL STUDENTS:

The final step of the onboarding process is the first week of class. Welcome Week is the official beginning of your experience at TKU, giving you opportunities to connect with other incoming students, as well as with returning students who are excited to welcome you into the TKU community.

Each of these events will be offered on ground (current situation allowing) with a virtual element. Check your TKU student email regularly for more information about these and other opportunities! If you have any questions, please email odyssey@tku.edu or call 817-722-1753.
