The King’s University Announces Dr. Donald Kim as Associate Director of Doctor of Ministry (DMin) Program

Southlake, Texas — The King’s University and Seminary is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Donald Kim as Associate Director of its Doctor of Ministry (DMin) Program.

Dr. Kim brings to the role a rare combination of theological scholarship, pastoral ministry experience, and professional expertise in technology and innovation. He earned a PhD in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Yale University, and a bachelor’s degree in Classics from the University of Texas at Austin. His academic work has also included advanced study at Tyndale House in Cambridge, England, and Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

With more than twelve years of full-time faculty experience, Dr. Kim has served extensively in doctoral education, advising both Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Philosophy students. He has also served the church in pastoral and lay ministry contexts in Laredo, New Haven, and the Dallas–Fort Worth area. In addition, his work as a founder, AI architect, and data engineer reflects the breadth of perspective he brings to leadership, research, and theological education.

In his new role, Dr. Kim will help provide academic leadership for the DMin program through teaching, mentoring doctoral students, supporting program development, and advancing strategic initiatives that strengthen the university’s mission to equip ministry leaders for faithful and effective service.

In his new role, Dr. Kim will help provide academic leadership for the DMin program through teaching, mentoring doctoral students, supporting program development, and advancing strategic initiatives that strengthen the university’s mission to equip ministry leaders for faithful and effective service.

Dr. Kim and his wife, Dr. Grace Kim, a pediatrician in Southlake, are raising four daughters. Faith, family, and service remain central to his life and ministry.
