In fulfillment of our mission statement to prepare effective leaders and Christ-like servants, academic advisement is a service provided for our students to assist them in successfully completing their degree requirements in a timely and sequential manner. This service also provides an opportunity for faculty to regularly make contact and interact with their assigned student advisees. These interactions are an integral component in developing community, relationships and providing additional opportunities to pray for and counsel with students. Academic advising is primarily intended to assist students in program selection, planning and course selection. Each semester during the pre-registration periods, students are encouraged to review their progress and course selection with their faculty advisor. Students will be assigned an academic advisor upon enrollment at The King’s and will normally be reassigned to an advisor within their degree program once they have obtained 45 hours. Students are able to locate their Academic Advisor’s name and contact information on the Student Portal by simply clicking on the “My Advisor” button. Additional information regarding Academic Advising may be obtained by contacting the Academic Department.
