Prophetic Word

Prophetic Words

As part of Evening at The King’s, we want each guest to receive a prophetic word to take home with them. In a gala setting, it can be difficult to fully communicate what we mean when we say that The King’s University is Spirit-formed. Our hope is that these cards will create a personal and meaningful way for our guests to experience that distinctive, reminding them that the Holy Spirit is present, speaking, and at work in their lives.

We’re inviting staff, faculty, and friends of The King’s University to pray for those who will gather with us that evening and share what the Lord places on their hearts.

As you pray, listen for a clear theme, word, image, invitation, or encouragement. You don't need to make your word applicable to everyone in the room. Trust what the Lord brings to mind and write for the individual who will eventually receive it.

A few guidelines:

  • Give your encouragement a one-word title. (Examples are courage, abide, build, rest)
  • Keep the prophetic portion to 100 words or fewer.
  • Include one or two Scriptures that support or illuminate the word and encouragement.
  • Images, metaphors, phrases, or other impressions you receive in prayer are welcome.
  • Write naturally. We're looking for something personal and meaningful rather than simply an inspirational saying.

You are welcome to submit more than one encouragement as the Lord leads.
